About this product

Rain Hose pipe ecoseries is a flexible hose pipe made from high grade virgin material designed with a zigzag / random pattern of laser punched holes. These laser punched holes are made with nano punching technology to ensure a uniform water spray discharge width on either side in low operating pressure like 1 to 1.5 bar. Rain Hose is suitable for closely spaced crops like onion, vegetable crops, leafy vegetables, groundnuts, etc. We can say that this is the option to artifical rain for crops

Key features

  • precise design
  • uniform water spray width on either side
  • easy to install
  • easy to carry
  • light weight
  • performs well without filter

Where it's used

  • Suitable for Onion
  • Chilli
  • Groundnut
  • small cotton plots
  • Vegetables etc

Benefits

  • Laser-punched holes in a zigzag pattern throw a fine rain-like spray across a wide band rather than a single line
  • Runs at low pressure, so it works behind a modest pump where sprinklers would not
  • Wets a whole bed at once, which suits close-sown and broadcast crops that drip cannot reach
  • Rolls flat for storage and lays out quickly — one person can shift a block between plots
  • Far cheaper per acre to cover than a fixed sprinkler layout

Installation recommendations

Roll the hose out along the bed with the punched face upward, then charge it slowly — a sudden surge will roll a flat hose over and send the spray sideways. Anchor both ends and peg it at intervals on windy ground. Keep it inside its low rated pressure: rain hose is thin-walled by design and over-pressure splits it at the punch line. Flush before the first watering of the season.

Rain pipe irrigation: what it saves, and where it fits

A low-pressure, low-cost way to water close-sown crops like a light shower. What rain pipe does well, where it doesn’t, and how to run it.

Before you buy

What width will it wet?

That depends on pressure and on wind more than on the hose. At its rated pressure it throws a broad band either side of the line; raise the pressure and the band widens but the droplets get finer and drift. Set it at the head, then walk the bed and see where the water actually lands.

The spray is going sideways. What do I do?

The hose has rolled. Uncharge it, lay the punched face up again, peg it, and bring the pressure up slowly rather than opening the valve fully at once.

Do I need a filter?

Yes. A 120-mesh screen or disc filter at the pump is the difference between a lateral that runs for several seasons and one that blocks in the first. If the bore throws sand, put a sand separator ahead of the filter as well — a screen alone will not hold it.

Why is GST only 5% on this?

Micro-irrigation equipment is taxed at 5% GST. General pipe fittings are 18%, so an order that mixes the two shows both rates on the invoice. The price you see already contains the tax.

Are your prices MRP or dealer rate?

Every price on this site is MRP, inclusive of tax. It is the same for everyone — there is no separate dealer login or hidden rate. For bulk quantities, send a bulk enquiry and we will quote on volume.

Why is GST 5% on some products and 18% on others?

Micro-irrigation equipment — drip and sprinkler systems — attracts 5% GST under Indian tax rules. General plastic pipe and fittings attract 18%. The rate that applies is shown on each product page rather than assumed.

Do I have to buy a whole box of small fittings?

No. Small drip fittings such as joiners and end caps arrive boxed — 100 to a bag, for instance — but you order in pieces and can buy a single one. The box quantity and its price are shown alongside the per-piece MRP so you can see both, and any product with a genuine minimum order states it on its page and on its data sheet.
